I love every book Donald Miller has ever written. I started reading his books in college, and it feels like I’ve grown up with him; and old friend corresponding through written word. His company creates wonderful content that will help bring clairity to your messaging and values. I can’t recommend this book enough. I’ll leave you with one thought that I gleaned from this book.

You’ve got to be willing to take risk. There’s a thin edge, the balance between control and chaos, where life is best lived. There’s mystery in the chaos, but we feel capable when we master our craft. The pursuit of the unknown combined with the discipline to evolve your skills.

If you’re going to make high impacts, you must believe incredible things can happen. Succesful people constantly fail. In each failure, we find incredible lessons that can be applied to our journey. Miller writes, “Nothing will cost you more in life than a predermined belief that things aren’t going to work out.” The reward is found in the risk.
